Box.net is offering 50GB of free cloud storage space to anyone who downloads  the latest Box.net iOS app (version 2.4.3) and logs in to the service. If you know the DropBox service, where you can store and share files online, which allows anyone to enjoy a free space of 2 GB. This is very convenient to upload files to “cloud”, ie on a server, we have the ability to query from anywhere from the moment we are connected. This week, the website Box.net decided to go further, much further.

This is the promotional offer and right now it’s only available for iOS users and not for Android users, despite the fact that the Box.net Android app got an upgrade recently, as well.

Box.net iOS app for iPhone and iPad lets you:

  • View files directly on your iPhone and iPad
  • Share files easily with a link
  • Upload photos to your Box account (iPhones only)
  • Open files in other apps installed on your device, like Documents to Go and GoodReader (iPads only)
  • Secure content with file-level encryption, a four-digit passcode and automatic logout when the app is closed

First, be aware that this promotion only lasts fifty days, and it is only for users of IOS with some exceptions. Procedure is quite simple since it is enough simply to create an account on Box.net and validate it via the mail you receive. Then here’s how:

1. Download and install the application Box.net by going to the AppStore from your iDevice.
