Maria Montessori, born August 31, 1870 at Ancona, was one of the first women in Italy who have completed medical school and worked as doctors. She spent much of his life overseeing kindergartens or schools that teach after MONTESSORI METHOD.
Montessori was a great Italian woman and was an all in one: educator, scientific, medical, psychiatrist, philosopher, psychologist, a devout Catholic, Italian feminist and humanist. Montessori died of a cerebral hemorrhage in Noordwijk aan Zee, the Netherlands, at the age of 81 on May 6, 1952.
Maria Montessori Methods
Since 1907, Maria Montessori revolutionized the Italian educational system by introducing MONTESSORI METHOD for very young children from one year. Maria Montessori started from the premise that all children show intelligence, despite social status, and that each is different in its own way, competition is counterproductive.
Montessori Method involves learning through curiosity, exploration and learning from their mistakes. Each child is encouraged to learn its natural pace, teachers Montessori Method being trained to adapt to each learner individually. This kind of philosophy requires that the child learn something new every day and is always curious and excited to have the opportunity to discover the world.
