Google Honors Diego Rivera On His 125th Birthday with a Doodle

Today Google is celebrating 125th Birthday of Diego Rivera by replacing its traditional Google logo with a wall painting that draws inspiration from his huge murals that depicted Mexico’s turbulent history. A mouse-over over the Doodle  reveals that it is meant to celebrate his 125th Birthday’ and on clicking will lead to a search page searching for the name of ‘Diego Rivera‘. Check out the Today’s Google doodle.

Diego Rivera Google Doodle –

Diego Rivera was born in Guanajuato on December 8th, 1886. At the age of 10, Diego started showing interest in art and painting. He studied art at the Academy of San Carlos in Mexico City. The governor of the State of Veracruz – Teodoro A. Dehesa Méndez sponsored him to continue his studies in Europe. Diego Rivera died on November 24, 1957.

Today’s Google Doodle is featuring a Mural basically a wall painting of Google Logo in the painting style of Diego Rivera. Below are some paintings created by the Diego Rivera himself.
