7 Apps Any Business Owner Should Have

You Are Here

Owning your own business, though a highly rewarding endeavor, can be a tremendous amount of work as it requires you to manage a lot of different tasks and keep a lot of information in your mind at one time.

mobile apps for Business Owner

Management comes to the forefront for every business owner, no matter what kind of company they own or whether they’re small or mid-sized.

Technology has gotten to a point where we’re able to keep most of, if not all, information in our phone, where we can access it at any moment. While this might not make us less busy, it can definitely help us stay focused, knowing that most of what we need to keep track of can be isolated into one small screen: our smart phones.

The following seven apps can help us keep the information about our business organized and help us stay on top of the day-to-day tasks involved in running our businesses:

1. Box

This is one of the best dropbox apps for iPhone or iPad. It allows you to upload, edit and share documents with any member of your team. You get 5GB of storage free, which is enough for most small operations. If you need more, an extra 25 GB is $99.99.

2. LogMeIn

LogMeIn has a free and paid desktop application that allows you to remotely log in into your computer from another computer. The app itself is free; however, you need to have a LogMeIn Pro subscription, which is the paid option from LogMeIn and costs $39.99 per year. Despite the cost, it’s still a pretty good deal to be able to access your PC from your smartphone or tablet.

3. Facebook Pages Manager

Facebook Pages Manager is a free app that essentially provides you with an admin interface to manage your Facebook fan page for your business. It’s a great tool for businesses who do have an active Facebook following or are trying to figure out how to put more time into their fan page without having to sit down at a computer.

4. Gather by MailChimp

Gather is a tool that you can use to keep track of your attendees and speakers during events. The app allows you to message each of them and receive responses individually. It’s a great tool for those who are organizing and directing events, who might have several people looking to them for instruction and direction.

5. Freshbooks Cloud Accounting

This app was designed to help businesses bill clients, create invoices and keep track of income. Additionally, you can track your time and keep track of receipts. You can download this app from iTunes store.

6. Google Drive

Google Drive is essentially the Google Docs of the smartphone world. You can do most of the same things on it that you can do in Google Docs, so it’s particularly useful for someone who needs to quickly access documents when they’re away from their computer.

Editing isn’t an easy process with this app, particularly on a smaller smartphone, but it’s still a great tool for getting to critical documents on the fly.

7. Evernote

As far as productivity goes, Evernote might be the cream of the crop. Not only does the app allow you to keep track of ideas, to-do lists, voice reminders and photos, but it does so while organizing them across all your devices and making them searchable. The searching capability is one of the best features of this app, making it a must have for business owners.

By using at least one of these apps, you will be able to better manage your time and tasks for your business in a very convenient way, especially when you do not necessarily have access to a computer, giving you an opportunity to potentially grow your business.
