HTC finally launched HTC One, which now becomes the flagship of the brand in the world of Android. HTC brought us one of the best mobile phones last year, including the HTC One X, but failed to capture smartphone market cause of major flaw that is battery life. This year, again HTC is betting everything with a Premium smartphone model in the form of HTC One, formerly known as “M7”.
HTC One is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset with 4 Krait 300 cores clocked at 1.7 GHz, 2 GB of RAM and Adreno 320. It offers a 2 megapixel front facing camera, and 4 ultrapixel rear camera with a flash and the possibility of record video in Full HD (1080p) and also supports Beats Audio.
The HTC One features 4.7 inch full HD 1080p touchscreen, with a pixel density of 468ppi. Phone will run on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and will get 4.2.2 updates. It supports 32GB or 64 GB of non-expandable storage and rich connectivity settings including LTE, NFC, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4 and GPS with GLONASS.
HTC One Key Features
- Quad-core 1.7 GHz Krait 300 processor,
- 2 GB of RAM
- 2300 mAH battery
- 4.7-inch Super LCD 3 display with 1080p resolution
- MicroUSB port and Micro SD card slot
- Beats Audio technology
Impressive features, The quad-core Snapdragon, along with a higher capacity battery, hopefully, allow the phone lasts all day.
The HTC One also leaves the plastic used in the One X, for aluminum, helping to give a more premium than the vast majority of Android phones.
Ultra Pixel Camera
HTC One will feature 4MP Camera and 1080p@30fps video recording, instead of 8 or 13 megapixels, the One has 4 “ultrapixels,” using fewer, larger pixels to create better images. HTC’s being called “UltraPixels“, because each entry allows 300% more light. It means, then, that potentially could have smaller images, but with a much higher image quality, especially in night shots, where virtually all current smartphones suffer.
Next to the sensor, they have a 28-mm f/2.0 lens with a dedicated photographic processing chip. Finally, we have added a feature called “Zoe”. This is a mode that allows to record a 3 second video every time you take a picture. Then these videos get batched together with the pictures, and you can auto-create 3 -second “highlight reels” from the pictures and videos of events.
BlinkFeed
The HTC One features a BlinkFeed. BlinkFeed feature replaces app icons and widgets on the home screen with a personalised stream of social networking updates, news articles, weather, photos and video. These tiles get updated automatically with information and news from social networking sites and other news sites.
Pricing & Availibility
The device will be available in silver or black with storage capacity of 32 GB or 64 GB. The HTC One will be released in 185 countries around the world by the end of March, so it looks like we will soon have a new competitor among premium smartphone models in the market.
