Google Search App Updated For iPhone and iPad

Google has just released an update to their Google Search app for iOS devices, they bring a brand new design for the iPad and full-screen mode for results and search pages on the iPhone. The new iPad interface is significantly inspired by the design recently played through the majority of Google’s Web services.

Now there are three icons on the main Google search page, including History, Applications, Voice Search. Also in this update they have included Full screen browsing mode for images and a new UI for Visual History.

Thus, as and when you start your search by typing letters, Google Instant shows the corresponding results. The new panel Previews provides an overview of the site, and you can drag this preview to see the corresponding page as a whole, the engine also allows searching for a word within this page.

They have included side-by-side view which allows browse through web pages and search results simultaneously. Google Instant and Instant previews are also included in the iPad version. However, improvements in the iPhone application are minor.

I can say that this is the faster and more tablet-friendly interface for the iPad version. You can update the Google Search App via iTunes.
