Dropbox Integrates with Facebook Groups

You Are Here

Dropbox shows up at Facebook and become a file sharing systems  for Facebook Groups. This integration will allow users of Dropbox to share any file that is already on their behalf, directly on a Facebook group. This sharing mechanism is added to that already available on Facebook Groups. The feature is rolling out, and Dropbox says you should see it in Facebook “soon.”

Unlike Facebook Sharing Service with Dropbox you can not share files from your computer. The files you share on Facebook will come from your Dropbox account. You must send those files in advance on Dropbox.

As per official Dropbox blog –

Today we’re psyched to announce that you can share stuff from Dropbox right inside Facebook Groups! Now you can share notes with your study group, add the latest game schedule to your basketball team’s group, or post a birthday video to your family’s group at lightning speed from wherever you are — just as long as you have them saved in Dropbox.

Once you choose to link Facebook to your Dropbox account, you’ll be able to search through your Dropbox and select what you’d like to share. Docs, photos, and videos shared from Dropbox will show up on the group’s wall and can also be viewed on a smartphone or tablet.

When you share a file from Dropbox on a Facebook group, a unique complex URL will be created. It is this link that will allow other group members to have access to the shared file.

Note that links shared on Facebook groups can be copied and shared elsewhere on Facebook. Of course, at any time, you can disable the sharing link from your Dropbox account. This new feature should appear in the coming days.

As we all know that, few days ago Dropbox Redesign brings the new and more intuitive interface. The website for storing and sharing data has been completely revised and corrected. If you are a regular user of Dropbox then you might be interested in getting 16GB of Free Storage Space on Dropbox.
