New in Gmail Labs: “Got the wrong Bob?” and “Don’t forget Bob”

Gmail_iconGmail labs team introduced a new features “Got the wrong Bob?” and “Don’t forget Bob“. Sometimes it happens like when you want to send an email to your friend but accidentally the email goes to the wrong person of the same name. To avoid this type of problems Gmail Lab team introduced these features for the Gmail users.Also Gmail will now suggest you to add more more recipients while composing mails with the help of “Dont Forget Bob” Feature”.

Got the wrong Bob :

If you have ever addressed an email too quickly, and included Bob (your boss) instead of Bob (your friend) by accident? If you’re emailing more than two people at once, Gmail will check if you meant to include Bob Smith rather than Bob Jones based on the groups of people you email most often.

Don’t forget Bob :

Once you pick some email recipients, Gmail suggests more people you might want to include based on the groups of people you email most often.

As per Official Gmail Blog :

“Got the wrong Bob?” is a new Labs feature aimed at sparing you this kind of embarrassment. Turn it on from the Labs tab under Gmail Settings, and based on the groups of people you email most often, Gmail will try to identify when you’ve accidentally included the wrong person — before it’s too late.

How to Enable this feature :

To turn on this feature go to Settings –> Labs and look for “ Got the wrong Bob? ” and “Don’t forget Bob” and then click on Enable.
