VLC Media Player : How To Take Screenshots from Videos or Movies

VLC Media Player is my favorite media player. VLC player is a free and open source cross-platform multimedia player that plays most of the multimedia files. If you want to share some screenshots with your friends from your favorite media player then you can easily do it with VLC.  I have written the following tutorial which will guide you to take screenshots from VLC media player.

This simple tutorial will tell you How To Take Screenshots from Videos and Movies or How To Take Screenshots Of A Movie. For completing this tutorial you need to have a free software called VLC media player.

How To Take Screenshots from Videos

Step 01. Once installed open a movie with VLC for which you want to take a screenshot:

Step 02. Now Go to Settings –> Preferences or press Ctrl + S

Step 03. Now click on Video tab:

And choose the location where you want the screencaps of a movie to be saved. Like mine is C: Drive:

Step 04. Now find a good scene on the movie and Pause it. Go to Video –> Snapshot

And the result will be something like this:

You have now taken a screenshot of a movie with ease!
